Remote Assistance Lite is a quick and easy remote access solution for OSX. With Remote Assistance Lite, the user initiates the outbound connection, easily bypassing firewalls or the need to configure a user's router for port-fowarding!

On the other end, the technician runs a VNC listening client (such as Chicken of the VNC) on the IP and port given to the user (default 5500, which is VNC's default listening port) and waits for the user to press [Connect]. The only configuration is done on the technician side.

Remote Assistance Lite is a modified version of Schnitz Remote Lite, a graphical wrapper for OSXvnc. The source code for OSXvnc is available on SourceForge.
