For Technicians

remote assistance lite v1.1

Remote Assistance Lite makes it easy to remotely support a user by utilizing VNC's client listen mode combined with VNC's server ability to add new clients. Opposite of popular VNC usage, in this case, the VNC server (the user's computer) is connecting to the VNC client (the technician's computer).

All the work is done on the technician's side. First, the technician must be using a VNC client which supports Listen Mode, the one I recommend is Chicken of the VNC (v2.0b4 or later).

Since the user is initiating the connection to the technician, the technician is the one that has to make changes to his or her own router. You must forward port 5500 (by default, you can choose what you want) on your router to your computer, if you are NAT'd.
